We'll set sail at 1:00pm for the Island of Patmos:
Includes Shore Excursion: This is the Island where John (in the Bible) is said to have written the book of Revelations. Upon arrival on Patos at 4:00pm, we'll join a tour of the Monastery of Saint John and the Grotto of the Apocalypse (optional extra), or enjoy some free time at the picturesque port of Scala.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 5:  Crete - Santorini    (Two Shore Excursions)
Today’s first port of call is the Island of Crete and its capital Heraklion, arriving at 7:00am, where we will have the opportunity to discover the Minoan Palace of Knossos “old town” areas of Heraklion, established in medieval times.
Shore Excursion: Minoan Palace of Knossos 1st Europian Civilization. The ancient city of Knossos, with constant habitation from the Neolithic era until the 5th century A.D., is beyond doubt the land that “gave birth” to the first civilization of Europe, the Minoans. The first excavations were begun in 1878 by the Heraklian Minos Kalokairinos. A bit later (1900-1913 & 1922-1930) the excavations by the British Sir Arthur Evans were to complete the scientific research, bringing to light the Minoan palace in its entirety, which was, according to tradition, the residence of the wise King Minos. The palace of Knossos spreads around the large Central Court. We will reach the awe inspiring Throne Room, the fresco of the “Prince of the Lilies”, the imposing Grand Staircase, the Queen’s Megaron in the east. Walking through the apartments of the Knossos palace and observing the finds even as passers-by, you will feel part of this cultural heritage.
We will also stop in Heraklion on the way back to the ship. Heraklion was founded in 824 and is an important homeland of many contributors to Literature and Art, some examples of which are the Nobel winning poet Odysseas Elytis, the Renaissance painter Domenikos Theotokopoulos (El Greco) and the writer Nikos Kazantzakis.

Shore Excursion: Spectacular Oia Village on the Caldera Rim (We'll depart at 11:30am to tour island of the Cyclades, Santorini & town of Oia)
First you head up to Megalochori village, one of the most authentic and unspoiled villages of the island, thru Kamari and Monolithos, Fira, the small traditional villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli with delicate architecture and beauties, to eventually arrive at the settlement of Oia.
In Oia you will have plenty of time to stroll through the marble-paved alleys, to gaze at the adorably cute shops, to take pictures, to become acquainted with the characteristic buildings, carved into the rocks and the unusual captains’ manors, the settlement Ammoudi at the foot of the caldera and the breathtaking panorama of Oia, the most photographed spot in Greece before returning to the ship.

Day 6: Piraeus - Athens
We'll arrive at Piraeus port at 6:00am, and then we will transfer to the hotel in Athens. (Hotel: Hotel Polis Grand or similar)
FREE DAY: You can explore with the trip leader or check out historic Athens on your own. Breakfast included.
We will also meet at a local restaurant and have a farewell dinner at 6 PM  (Complimentary meal and beverage. Alcohol is extra.)

Day 7: Piraeus - Athens
